This was the inaugural season for the Philadelphia Flyers, playing 74 regular season games, winning 31, losing 32 with 11 ties, finishing 1st in NHL West Division, winning the 1st Clarence S. Campbell Bowl as West Division regular season champions.
Bill Sutherland scored the 1st goal in Flyers history vs Charlie Hodge of Oakland Seals at 10:07 of 2nd period on October 11, 1967 at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Arena in a 5-1 Oakland win.
They played the St. Louis Blues in NHL first round, losing in 7 games. Pat Hannigan scored the Flyers 1st ever playoff goal 1:32 into the 1st period of Game 2 on April 6, 1968.

Doug Favell had the 1st Flyers shutout vs Pittsburgh Penguins on October 1967 at The Spectrum in a 1-0 Flyers win.
Leon Rochefort scored the Flyers 1st hat-trick vs Rogie Vachon of Montreal Canadiens on November 4, 1967 at Montreal Forum in a 4-1 Flyers win.
Lou Angotti had the Flyers 1st NHL penalty, a 2 minute minor for interference at 22 seconds into the game vs Oakland Seals on October 11, 1967 at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Arena.
