Miles Gilbert "Tim" Horton - Born January 12, 1930 in Cochrane, Ontario – Died February 21, 1974 in St. Catharines, Ontario was a Canadian ice Hockey defenceman and founder of Tim Hortons, a multinational coffeehouse and restaurant chain based in Canada.

- Stanley Cup Champion - 1962, 1963, 1964, 1967 with Toronto Maple Leafs.

- Prince of Wales Trophy Champion 1963 with Toronto Maple Leafs.

- Calder Cup Champion 1952 with Pittsburgh Hornets.

- F. G. "Teddy" Oke Trophy Champion 1952 with Pittsburgh Hornets.

Tim Horton played in NHL All-Star Games in 1954, 1963, 1964, 1967, 1968, 1969.

Tim Horton was inducted (posthumously) into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1977.

Tim Horton was inducted (posthumously) into the Buffalo Sabres Hall of Fame in 1982.

Tim Horton was ranked number 59 in The Greatest Canadian list by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation / CBC in 2004.

The Buffalo Sabres retired jersey number 2 in 1996.
The Toronto Maple Leafs retired jersey number 7 in 2016.

In January 2017, Horton was part of the first group of players to be named one of the "100 Greatest NHL Players in history"
