On June 21, 1988 First Lady Nancy Reagan with the Christian Hockey Stick she used to start the NHL "Just Say No" campaign, visited The Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, Ontario to present the Christian Hockey Stick for their collection.

On March 25, 1988 First Lady Nancy Reagan kicked off the NHL's "Just Say No" campaign to help overcome drug abuse among young people. With the help of Washington Capitals captain Red Langway and Philadelphia Flyers captain Dave Poulin who showed her how to shoot the puck, the First Lady took a shot with the Christian Hockey Stick on Capitals goalie Pete Peeters before a Hockey game at Capital Centre in Landover, Md.
