The Clarkson Cup is considered the equivalent of the Stanley Cup for Women’s Ice Hockey.
“The Clarkson Cup is so special to us,” said Ouellette, an assistant captain with the Stars. “We all grew up watching the Stanley Cup playoffs and seeing players get their names on the Cup. To see our names engraved on our league’s Cup is just as special.”
Erika Lawler, a U.S. Olympian, was named the top forward at the Clarkson Cup, while Brampton’s Liz Knox edged out Jenny Lavigne as top goaltender and Brampton’s Molly Engstrom was named top defenceman.
