Victoria Skating Club - Hockey Medal - AHAC Championship - 1888 - Amazing and historic medal, presented to goaltender Tom Paton, a member of the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association Hockey Club, winners of the AHAC Championship in 1888 - The award is in solid silver with gold-plate crossed Hockey sticks and a square puck (square wooden pucks were used in these earliest games) on the lowest portion of the four-section medal. The top piece has a pin back and is engraved with VSC signifying the Victoria Skating Club, another of the top amateur Hockey teams in Canada in the 1880s and the host of the 1888 AHAC Championship tournament held at Montreals famous Victoria Arena. Below, another silver shield with the year 1888 and with a pair of vintage crossed skates attached by silver links
