Mighty Ducks of Anaheim goalie Jean-Sébastien Giguère

Conn Smythe Trophy Winner 2003

Giguère was voted Conn Smythe Trophy winner after the New Jersey Devils defeated Anaheim 3-0 in game 7 of Stanley Cup finals on June 9, 2003 at Continental Airlines Arena.

Giguère became only the 5th player, and 4th goaltender, in NHL history to have won the trophy as a member of the losing team, joining Detroit's Roger Crozier (1966), the St. Louis Blues' Glenn Hall (1968), and the Philadelphia Flyers' Reggie Leach (1976, a right winger) and Ron Hextall (1987). Connor McDavid joined this group in 2024.

NOTE
Giguère would later become Stanley Cup Champion in 2007 with Anaheim Ducks.
