The final day of ice Hockey at the 1956 Winter Olympics (Feb 4th) had the Soviets defeating Canada 2-0, Germany and Sweden tied 1-1 and USA defeated Czechoslovakia 9-4.

The Soviets went undefeated claiming the Gold Medal.
USA had lost 1 game in the tournament, winning the Silver Medal.
Canada lost 2 games, winning the Bronze Medal.

NOTE
This was the 1st Winter Olympics Gold Medal won by the Soviet Union / USSR ice Hockey team.
