Cheechoo scored his 1st NHL goal vs Tomáš Vokoun of Nashville Predators at 17:21 of 2nd period at Gaylord Entertainment Center in a 2-1 Sharks win. His goal was the game winner.
Cheechoo scored his 1st NHL hat-trick vs Jean-Sébastien Giguère of Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on December 20, 2005 at HP Pavilion at San Jose in a 4-2 Sharks win.
Cheechoo played in 501 regular season NHL games, scoring 170 goals (36 GWG), 135 assists with 324 penalty minutes and 59 NHL playoff games, scoring 16 goals (3 GWG), 19 assists with 32penalty minutes.
