John Nicolas "Rambo" Kordic - Born March 22, 1965 in Edmonton, Alberta - Died August 8, 1992 in L'Ancienne-Lorette, Quebec was a Canadian ice Hockey right winger and defenceman.

- Memorial Cup Champion 1983 with Portland Winter Hawks.

- Calder Cup Champion 1985 with Sherbrooke Canadiens.

- Prince of Wales Trophy Champion 1986 with Montreal Canadiens.

- Stanley Cup Champion 1986 with Montreal Canadiens.

Kordic made his NHL debut with Montreal Canadiens on December 7, 1985 vs Toronto Maple Leafs at Maple Leaf Gardens in a 6-3 Montreal win.

Kordic scored his 1st NHL goal vs Doug Soetaert of New York Rangers at 2:45 of 1st period at Montreal Forum in a 6-2 Canadiens win.

Kordic played in 244 regular season NHL games, scoring 17 goals, 18 assists with 997 penalty minutes and 41 NHL playoff games, scoring 4 goals (1 GWG), 3 assists with 131 penalty minutes.

Late in the season during Kordic's final junior season with the WHL Seattle Breakers, Kordic made his professional debut with AHL Sherbrooke Canadiens, playing in 4 games to end the regular season and 4 games in the Calder Cup finals, helping Sherbrooke win the championship. He had 11 penalty minutes protecting his teammates.

Kordic played most of the next season with Sherbrooke, but the Montreal Canadiens did call up Kordic for 5 NHL games in December, 1985. The Canadiens summoned Kordic back up for their 1986 Stanley Cup run, where he played 18 of 20 games the Canadiens played, and was on the ice when Montreal won their 23 Stanley Cup championship. He had 53 penalty minutes during the playoffs.

Kordic had given notice to the NHL Tough Guys at the time, that he was a true enforcer now in the NHL.

Kordic played for Montreal the next few seasons until he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he set his own NHL penalty minute high of 252 minutes during the 1989-90 season.

Toronto later traded Kordic to Washington Capitals on November 7, 1991, playing 7 games, with 101 penalty minutes.

Kordic was then picked up as a free agent by Quebec Nordiques, playing 18 for them at the start of the 1991-92 NHL season before they sent him to the AHL Cape Breton Oilers to finish the season.

A known drug user in his playing days, Kordic would later die of a overdose, which affected his heart malfunction in August, 1992.
