EditAdriaan Jozef "Ed" Kea - Born January 19, 1948 in Weesp, Netherlands - Died August 31, 1999 in Six Mile Lake, Ontario was a Dutch-born Canadian ice Hockey defenceman.

Kea made his NHL debut with Atlanta Flames on April 3, 1974 vs Los Angeles Kings at The Forum in a 4-2 Kings win.
Kea scored his 1st NHL goal vs Gary Edwards of Los Angeles Kings at 12:59 of 3rd period on February 12, 1975 at The Forum in a 2-2 tie.
Kea played in 583 regular season NHL games, scoring 30 goals (2 GWG), 145 assists with 508 penalty minutes and 32 NHL playoff games, scoring 2 goals, 4 assists with 39 penalty minutes.
Ed Kea was inducted into the Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame in 2011.
NOTE
Kea had his career cut short when he hit his head on the ice while playing for the Salt Lake Golden Eagles in 1983, and had to have several operations to help with the severe head trauma. Although the operations helped a bit, Kea would be handicapped for the rest of his life.
