Neal LaMoy Broten - Born November 29, 1959 in Roseau, Minnesota is an American retired ice Hockey center.

Broten made his NHL debut with the Minnesota North Stars on March 31, 1981 vs St. Louis Blues at Metropolitan Sports Center, also scoring his 1st NHL goal vs Mike Liut at 4:03 of the 3rd period in a 6-3 Minnesota win.

Broten scored his 1st NHL hat-trick vs New York Islanders on November 23, 1982 at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in a 8-8 tie.

Broten played 1099 regular season NHL games, scoring 289 goals (34 GWG / 4 OTG), 634 assists with 569 penalty minutes and 135 NHL playoff games, scoring 35 goals (7 GWG / 1 OTG), 63 assists with 77 penalty minutes.

Neal Broten is the 1st American born player to record 100 points in one NHL season - 105 points (29 goals) in 1985-86.

Neal Broten was inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame in 2000.

Neal Broten will be inducted into the Minnesota Sports Hall of Fame in 2024.

Neal Broten's jersey number 7 was retired by the Dallas Stars on February 7, 1998.
