NOTE
The New York Golden Blades became the Jersey Knights on November 21, 1973, and the franchise moved to Cherry Hill, New Jersey. They were owned and operated by the WHA league.

When the season ended, the team moved to California, becoming the San Diego Mariners for the 1974–75 WHA season.
