In the Stanley Cup playoffs, they defeated Washington Capitals 4-3 in games, New York Rangers 4-2, Boston Bruins 4-0 winning the Prince of Wales Trophy, then defeated Chicago Black Hawks 4-0 for 1992 Stanley Cup Championship.
Mario Lemieux won the Conn Smythe Trophy as Playoff MVP.
Lemieux also won the Art Ross Trophy for 1991-92.
