Edward Lyman "Hick" Abbott (1891–1918), right winger of the Regina Victorias.
"Hick" Abbott was a multi-sport athlete, and also a member of the Regina Rugby Club. As a hockey player he was captain of the 1914 Allan Cup winning Regina Victorias.
Abbott was killed in action in World War 1 on August 14, 1918, near Amiens in France, aged 27.
The Abbott Memorial Cup, awarded annually from 1919 through 1999 to the Junior "A" ice hockey Champion for Western Canada, was named in his honour.
