Paul Carl Meger - Born February 17, 1929 in Watrous, Saskatchewan – Died August 27, 2019 in Barrie, Ontario was a Canadian ice Hockey left winger.

- J. Ross Robertson Cup Champion 1948 and 1949 with Barrie Flyers.
- George Richardson Memorial Trophy Champion 1948 with Barrie Flyers.
1948 Memorial Cup finalist.

- Dudley (Red) Garrett Memorial Award Winner 1950 with Buffalo Bisons.

- Stanley Cup Champion 1953 with Montreal Canadiens.

Meger made his NHL debut with the Montreal Canadiens on April 4, 1950 vs New York Rangers at The Forum in a 3-2 OT win for Montreal during first round of NHL playoffs.

Meger scored his 1st NHL goal vs Al Rollins of the Toronto Maple Leafs at 13:19 of the 1st period on March 1, 1951 at The Forum in a 3-1 Montreal win.

While suiting up for the QSHL’s Montreal Royals in 1955, Meger collided with Boston’s Leo Labine midway though the November match-up. Labine’s skate accidentally kicked up, shattering Meger’s temporal lobe and slicing into his brain.

Though surgeons managed to save the 25-year-old’s life, his Hockey career was over. In a show of solidarity, his teammates voted to give Meger a share of their playoff bonus money at season’s end.
