Jiří "Fakir" Holeček - Born March 18, 1944 in Prague, Bohemia and Moravia is a Czech retired ice Hockey goaltender and coach.

- 1972 Winter Olympics Bronze Medal Winner with Czechoslovakia National Team.

- 1976 Winter Olympics Silver Medal Winner with Czechoslovakia National Team.

- World Ice Hockey Champion 1972, 1976, 1977 with Czechoslovakia National Team.
World Ice Hockey Silver medal Winner in 1966, 1971, 1974, 1975, 1978, and bronze medal in 1973.

- European Ice Hockey Champion 1972, 1976, 1977.
European Ice Hockey Silver Medal Winner 1966, 1971, 1974, 1975, 1978 and bronze medal in 1967, 1973.

Holeček was named to the World Championship All-Star Teams in 1971, 1972, 1973, 1976, and 1978, and Holeček was named the best goaltender at the World Championships in 1971, 1973, 1975, 1976 and 1978.

At the 1976 Canada Cup, Holeček split the goaltending with Vladimír Dzurilla and the team finished (2nd) as runner-up. Holeček played in the semi-finals vs Soviet Union, winning 3-1

Jiří Holeček was inducted into the International Ice Hockey Hall of Fame in 1998.

Jiří Holeček was inducted into the Czech Hockey Hall of Fame on November 4, 2008.
