Floyd Robert Donald Smith - Born May 16, 1935 in Perth, Ontario is a Canadian retired ice Hockey centre/right winger, coach, scout and general manager.

- Calder Cup Champion 1960 and 1962 with Springfield Indians and 1973 as coach of the Cincinnati Swords.

- F. G. "Teddy" Oke Trophy Champion 1960, 1961, 1962 with Springfield Indians.

- Louis A. R. Pieri Memorial Award Winner 1973 with Cincinnati Swords.

- Prince of Wales Trophy Champion as NHL regular season champions 1964-65 with Detroit Red Wings.

- Stanley Cup Finalist - 1963, 1964, 1966 with Detroit Red Wings and 1975 as coach of the Buffalo Sabres.

Smith made his NHL debut with Boston Bruins on March 10, 1955 vs Chicago Black Hawks at Boston Garden in a 3-2 Chicago win.

Smith scored his 1st NHL goal vs Johnny Bower of Toronto Maple Leafs at 12:19 of the 1st period on January 29, 1961 at Madison Square Garden in a 4-1 Toronto win.

Floyd Smith was the 1st Captain in Buffalo Sabres History 1970.

Smith played 617 regular season NHL games, scoring 129 goals (18 GWG), 178 assists with 201 penalty minutes and 48 NHL playoff games, scoring 12 goals (1 GWG), 11 assists with 16 penalty minutes.
