Vyacheslav Ivanovich Starshinov - Born May 6, 1940 in Moscow, Soviet Union is a Russian retired ice Hockey centre, coach, executive and author.

Starshinov won three Soviet league championships 1962, 1967, 1969 while playing with HC Spartak Moscow. He was the best goal scorer of the Soviet Championships in 1967 (47 goals) and 1968 (46 goals).

Starshinov was Soviet National team captain 1969 to 1971, during his 1960 to 1972 international career.

Starshinov played 182 international games and scored 149 goals.

- Winter Olympics Gold Medal Winner 1964 (Innsbruck), 1968 (Grenoble).

- IIHF World Ice Hockey Champion 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971.

Starshinov was named top forward at the IIHF World Championships in 1965.

Top goal scorer at the 1963 & 1966 World Championships.

- IIHF European Ice Hockey Champion (1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970).

Starshinov was named chairman of the Ice Hockey Federation of the Russian Federation in 1991.

Vyacheslav Starshinov was inducted into the Russian and Soviet Hockey Hall of Fame in 1963.

Vyacheslav Starshinov was inducted into the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame in 2007.
