Joseph Daniel "Joe" Savard - Born March 6, 1890 in Quebec City, Quebec – Died April 28, 1961 was a Canadian ice Hockey player and goaltender. Also known as Jos Savard.

Savard was a spare player on the Bulldogs during the 1912-13 season. Records have him playing 15 minutes of goal during the National Hockey Association / NHA season.

Savard is listed as "Utility" on one of the team photos (Quebec Hockey Team) from 1912-13, that features the Stanley Cup in the photo, and says "Champions of the World"

Savard was also on the team when the Bulldogs won the 1912 O'Brien Trophy as NHA Champions.

You could call Savard one of the earliest "Black Aces" which is a term used now to describe top caliber players that practice with the top teams, but will only play when someone gets injured.
