Reinhold "Johnny" Matz of the Edmonton Dominions in 1912–13. Edmonton Dominions played in the Edmonton Senior Hockey League.
Matz, a forward, played one game in the PCHA for the Vancouver Millionaires in 1914–15, the year the Millionaires won the Stanley Cup. He would later go on to play for the Edmonton Eskimos and the Saskatoon Crescents in the WCHL.
In 1924–25 Matz played for the Montreal Canadiens in the NHL. He scored 2 goals and had 3 assists in 30 games. Montreal Canadiens lost the Stanley Cup finals that season to the Victoria Cougars of the WCHL.
