The Queen watched her second ice Hockey game in Canada in at the old Montreal Forum. It was on her tour as Princess Elizabeth.
The Canadiens defeated the Rangers 6-1.
Rangers Reg Sinclair opened the scoring in the 1st period, which also saw Ken Mosdell tie the game late in the period.
Floyd Curry scored 3 in a row during the 2nd period, in what was dubbed a "Royal Hat Trick" his only 3 goal performance of his career. Rocket Richard had 2 goals in the 3rd.
