Captain Brady Bakke sets up Nick Glackin who scored the Double-OT Winner as the Red Deer Optimist Rebels win their first Telus Cup Canadian Midget Triple-AAA Championship in a thrilling come from behind vicory in Leduc Recreation Centre, Leduc, Alberta.

The Rebels were making their ninth appearance in the tournament, they had made three previous trips to the Gold Medal Game. They lost in double overtime in 1994 and 2007 and were silver-medal winners in 1995.

Phénix du Collège Esther-Blondin was leading 5 to 1 going into the 3rd period, and then they got into penalty problems allowing The Rebels 4 power play goals to tie the game, and then send it to overtime. Nick Glackin capped off his natural hat trick at 8:45 of the second overtime to complete a remarkable comeback from a 5-1 third-period deficit.
