Mission Axiom twopeated as MLRH champions for the 2011 - 2012 season. The Motor City Assault played an outstanding game one defeating Mission 5 - 4 in OT as Shane Berry scored on the powerplay. Mission would regroup in game two and shut out the Assault 7 - 0. In game three the Assault would mount a comeback attempt to make the game 6 -3, but Aaron Moss would seal the championship with a backhander to make the final 7 -3.
