Oberwil Rebells won WC 2011!

Also the second medal-game was very balanced and gold-medal game was played by two Swiss teams - Oberwil Rebells and SHC Belpa 1107. Rebells were more active during whole game and they won 2-0!

From the very beginning, Rebells was on offensive wave. They stroke twice to post! Team Belpa was locked in their zone and Sidler didn´t much to do. Oberwil was rewarded with a leading goal. In the 13th minute, Raphael Melliger passed to HÄNI and his shot was precisely enough to score. Belpa beat their opponent only in collected penalties.

Belpa had a chance to score when Oberwil got the first penalty in this game, but even that they were on the opponent´s half, they didn´t make up any dangerous shot. Belpa´s player Rybon also got a minor penalty, so Oberwil played a power play but it ended as Belpa´s. 5 mininutes left in the second half and we saw an unpleasant situation when Belpa´s captain Nicola Fuchs was laying next to barrier and didn´t move. He left rink on his own legs so hopefully he would be OK. Team SHC Belpa 1107 had a great opportunity to balance the score. Their opponent had two men in penalty box. But even this power play wasn´t converted. 51 seconds before the end, TIBOR KAPANEK closed this tournament with shot to the empty net.
