Cúchulainn`s balls found in ancient grave site!
It has been reported that two ancient leather sliotars, possibly belonging to Cúchulainn himself have been dug up at an archeological site in Co.Kerry. The animal hide sliotars have tested positive for dog saliva, following DNA analysis, giving furthur cause for speculation that one of these is the actual sliotar that the legendary hero slammed down a wolfhound`s throat with his hurley on his way to a feast, killing the animal outright. The discovery was made in the Dromavally Mountains near Dingle. The most distinctive features of this mountain are the three ancient cairns on the summit ridge known as Cú Chulainn's House, Cú Chulainn's Bed and Cú Chulainn's Grave. The sliotars have been moved to the National Museum in Kildare Street in Dublin for furthur examination.
