NOTE
Scallen would serve time in prison for later using $3 Million of Canucks finances (Northwest Sports Enterprises Ltd) to pay off debts to the Walter E. Heller Corporation of Chicago, who originally lent him money to pay the NHL expansion fee. Scallen was also convicted of issuing a false prospectus in raising money to cover the $6-million fee the NHL demanded for an expansion team in Vancouver.

Scallen did approve the NHL Canucks Original Logo of the stylized C featuring a Hockey Stick inside a Hockey Rink designed by Joe Borovich of North Van.

Coley Hall, a Vancouver Legend, had been the original owner of the Vancouver Canucks in the Pacific Coast Hockey League, also naming them the Canucks, would broker a deal for the sale of the team to broadcaster Frank Griffiths for $8.5-million in 1974 and he would stay on the board of directors for 10 years after the sale.

Cyrus H. McLean was Canucks president when they played in the Western Hockey League and the NHL Vancouver Canucks still award the Cyrus H. McLean Trophy to the teams annual leading point-scorer.
