The Fort Worth Texans played a 76 game regular CHL season, winning 44, losing 29 with 3 OTL and finished 1st in CHL standings.

In the 1978 CHL playoffs, the Texans defeated Tulsa Oilers 4-3 in games in semifinals and Dallas Black Hawks 4-3 in games in championship final, winning the Adams Cup.
