Major League Baseball Star Lou Gehrig of New York Yankees presents New York Rangers Murray Murdoch a ring to celebrate his 400th game as a Ranger on January 23, 1934 at Madison Square Garden.
Murdoch is considered the 1st NHL Ironman, while Gehrig was the Major League Baseball Ironman, known as "The Iron Horse"

NOTE
The Rangers were also celebrating their 400th NHL game, playing the Ottawa Senators at Madison Square Garden in a 5-2 New York win. Murdoch got a 2 minute penalty in the 2nd period.
