The Pittsburgh Hornets played an 72 game regulat AHL season, winning 41, losing 21 with 10 ties, finishing first in AHL West Division.

In the 1967 AHL playoffs, the Hornets defeated Hershey Bears 4-1 in games receiving a 2nd round bye, then defeated Rochester Americans 4-0 in games to win the 1967 Calder Cup championship.
