In the 1991 Stanley Cup playoffs, they defeated Chicago 4-2 in games in Norris Division Semi-Finals, St. Louis 4-2 in games in Norris Division Finals, Edmonton 4-1 in games in Campbell Conference Finals, winning the Clarence S. Campbell Bowl.
The North Stars lost to Pittsburgh in 1991 Stanley Cup finals 4-2 in games.
