Boston had no captain, but 3 alternate captains - Bucyk, Esposito and Westfall.

Orr led the team in assists (87), points (120) and penalty minutes (125).

Boston played a 76 game NHL regular season, winning 40, losing 22, 9 ties finishing 2nd in East Division.

In the 1970 NHL playoffs, Boston defeated New York Rangers 4-2, Chicago Black Hawks 4-0 and St. Louis Blues 4-0 to win the 1970 Stanley Cup.

Bobby Orr scored the famous goal in overtime, where he was flying through the air "The Flight" with his stick up to celebrate scoring the championship winning goal - on Mother's Day.

Alternate captain Bucyk accepted the Stanley Cup from NHL president Clarence Campbell.

Bobby Orr won the 1970 Norris Memorial Trophy, Hart Memorial Trophy, Art Ross Trophy and the Conn Smythe Trophy in the playoffs.
