John Frederick "Jack" Portland - Born July 30, 1912 in Collingwood (Waubaushene?), Ontario - Died August 15, 1996 in Brockville, Ontario was a Canadian ice Hockey defenceman, coach and represented Canada at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics in high jump and triple jump.

- Prince of Wales Trophy Champion 1938, 1939 with Boston Bruins.

- Stanley Cup Champion 1939 with Boston Bruins.

Portland made his NHL debut with Montreal Canadiens on December 23, 1933 vs Detroit Red Wings at Montreal Forum in a 3-0 Montreal win.

Portland scored his 1st NHL goal vs Wilf Cude of Montreal Canadiens at 10:07 of 3rd period on February 19, 1935 at Boston Garden in a 3-1 Boston win.

Portland played in 388 regular season NHL games, coring 15 goals (4 GWG / 1 OTG), 56 assists with 325 penalty minutes and 33 NHL playoff games, scoring 1 goal (1 GWG), 3 assists with 25 penalty minutes.

Jack Portland was inducted into the Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame in 1974
