Arthur scored his 1st NHL goal vs Grant Fuhr of Edmonton Oilers at 11:48 of 3rd period on December 30, 1981 at Northlands Coliseum in a 7-5 Edmonton win.

Arthur retired to pursue a medical career in 1982.
