Harry McQuestion, the goalie here, was a back-up NHL goalie who got his name on the Stanley Cup without ever playing an NHL game. In 1949/50, the Detroit Red Wings‘ Harry Lumley, who started 63 out of 70 games. When Lumley needed a rest, Terry Sawchuck backed him up. For the playoffs, Detroit sent Sawchuk to the AHL Indianapolis Capitals to win the Calder Cup. MacQueston was on the bench for 14 playoff games, and Detroit rewarded him by engraving his name on the Stanley Cup.
