Ralph Louis Engelstad - Born January 28, 1930 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota - Died November 26, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada was an American ice Hockey goaltender, president, businessman, casino builder and with his wife Betty started The Engelstad Foundation.

Ralph Engelstad was inducted into the North Dakota Entrepreneur Hall of Fame in 2002.

NOTE
Engelstad built the Ralph Engelstad Arena on the University of North Dakota campus, and an Engelstad family trust continues to own the arena and rent it to the University.
