Trevor John Linden CM OBC - Born April 11, 1970 in Medicine Hat, Alberta is a Canadian retired ice Hockey centre/right winger, NHLPA president and Canucks president.

Linden made his NHL debut with Vancouver Canucks on October 6, 1988 vs Winnipeg Jets at Pacific Coliseum in a 2-2 OT tie. He had a 2 minute hooking penalty in 1st OT period.

Linden scored his 1st NHL goal vs Kelly Hrudey of New York Islanders at 7:40 of 1st period on October 18, 1988 at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in a 3-2 Islanders win.

Linden scored his 1st NHL hat-trick vs Jon Casey & Kari Takko of Minnesota North Stars on November 17, 1988 at Met Center in a 7-6 Minnesota win.

Linden played in the 1991, 1992 NHL All-Star games.

Linden Played in 1382 regular season NHL games, scoring 375 goals (41 GWG), 492 assists with 895 penalty minutes and 124 NHL playoff games, scoring 34 goals (5 GWG / 1 OTG), 65 assists with 104 penalty minutes.

Linden is a legend in Vancouver and made the city his home after retiring as a player. He played 1140 regular season games for the Canucks, being named captain for the 1991-92 season. He played his 1,000th NHL game in Vancouver on March 26, 2002 and was the Canucks first player to score 300 goals, which was a game winner vs Detroit Red Wings on October 5, 2006. As a Canuck, Linden was voted most exciting player 1989, 1991, also winning the Molson Cup 1989, 1991, the Cyclone Taylor Award 1989, 1991, 1995, 1996 and the Cyrus H. McLean Trophy 1991, 1992.

The Canucks retired Linden's jersey number16, in a pre-game ceremony December 17, 2008 and earlier in the day, the Canucks changed the number of the entrance gate for players and VIPs from Gate 5 to Gate 16 in honour of Linden.

On April 9, 2014, he was named the president of Hockey operations for the Canucks, a position he held until stepping away from the organization on July 25, 2018.

Linden also became involved in the National Hockey League Players' Association / NHLPA in 1990, being elected president in June, 1998 until 2006.

Linden represented Canada 5 times, World Junior Championships, 2 World Championships, 1 Winter Olympics and the World Cup of Hockey, playing a total of 30 games, scoring 5 goals, 9 assists with 18 penalty minutes.

Linden has also undertaken and continues his support of BC Children's Hospital and Canuck Place. He also created the Trevor Linden Foundation.

Trevor Linden was awarded the Order of British Columbia in 2003.

Trevor Linden was inducted into the BC Hockey Hall of Fame in 2010.

Trevor Linden was inducted into the BC Sports Hall of Fame in 2011.

Trevor Linden was invested as a Member of the Order of Canada in 2011.
