The Toronto Marlboros defeated Penetang in a 2 game total goals semi-final, losing game won 7-6, then winning game two 8-3 for a 14 to 9 goals win. They defeated Kingston in 3 games, as the teams were tied after the standard 2 game total goals, so they played a third game for the championship, with Toronto winning 5-4.
NOTE
The club was named after a long line of English Noblemen, the Dukes of Marlborough. The Dukes family name was Churchill, and in fact, the VIII Duke of Marlborough was an uncle to the legendary British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill.
