William David "Billy" Creighton (1892–1970) in suit and hat circa 1911.

Kenora native Creighton, a forward position wise, came up through the ranks of the Prairie Provinces in the early 1910s, playing in both Brandon (Manitoba) and Moose Jaw (Saskatchewan), prior to becoming a substitute player in the National Hockey Association (NHA).

In 1912–13 Creighton was a member of the Quebec Bulldogs Stanley Cup-winning team. In 1913–14 he played with the Toronto Ontarios, and in 1916–17 he played 1 game each for both the Toronto Blueshirts and Montreal Canadiens.

In the 1920s Creighton played predominantly for the Brandon Wheat City team in the Manitoba Senior Amateur Hockey League.
