William "Legs" Fraser - Born January 31, 1916 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Died - January 15, 1997 was a Canadian ice Hockey goaltender and coach.

Fraser played his junior Hockey for the Winnipeg Rangers and Elmwood Maple Leafs, backstopping the Maple Leafs to the 1936 Turnbull Cup championship as Manitoba Junior Hockey League / MJHL champions.

Fraser then played 1 season in the Winnipeg railway league with the Winnipeg CNR in 1936-37 season.

Fraser played the next 2 seasons (1937-39) in the Saskatchewan Senior Hockey League with the Weyburn Beavers.

Fraser then moved to Nova Scotia where he played for the North Sydney Victorias for 2 seasons and appeared in the playoffs for the Glace Bay Miners in 1941 before switching to the Québec Senior Hockey League where he played for the Montréal Sr. Canadiens for 1 season, then the Lachine RCAF Alouettes and Montreal RCAF until 1944.

Fraser joined the AHL Buffalo Bisons for 1 season in 1944-45, playing in 5 regular season games and 4 playoff games.

Fraser played the remaining years (1945 to 1951) of his on ice Hockey with the Ottawa Senators of the Quebec Senior Hockey League, leading the Senators to back to back Quebec Senior Hockey League Championships and Allan Cup finals, winning the 1949 Allan Cup championship. Fraser retired from playing after the 1951-52 season.

After retiring as a player, Fraser was the head coach in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League with the Brandon Wheat Kings, Prince Albert Mintos, Moose Jaw Canucks and the Melville Millionaires.

Bill "Legs" Fraser is a “Honoured Member” of the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame, enshrined in 1990.

Fraser was also a accomplished champion soccer player.
