Robert Richard "Bob" Armstrong - Born April 7, 1931 in Toronto, Onratio – Died November 6, 1990 was a Canadian/American ice Hockey defenceman.

Stanley Cup finalist - 1953, 1957, 1958.

Armstrong played junior Hockey with the Stratford Kroehlers.

Armstrong made his NHL debut with Boston Bruins on March 24, 1951 vs Toronto Maple Leafs at Maple Leaf Gardens in a 4-1 Toronto win. He played the next game on the 25th too.

The following year he played 1951-52 season with the AHL Hershey Bears until their playoffs when after 5 AHL playoff games, he was called up and played in 5 games NHL playoff games for the Bruins.

Armstrong never looked back, playing with the Bruins until October, 1961 - over 9 seasons.

Armstrong scored his 1st NHL goal during the 1953 NHL playoffs, scoring on Jacques Plante of Montreal Canadiens at 2:08 of 1st period on April 9, 1953 at Montreal Forum in a 4-2 Canadiens win.

Armstrong played in 541 regular season NHL games, scoring 13 goals (1 GWG), 86 assists with 671 penalty minutes and 42 NHL playoff games, scoring 1 goal, 7 assists with 28 penalty minutes.

Armstrong played in the 1960 NHL All-Star Game.

Armstrong finished his Hockey playing career with Hull-Ottawa Canadiens for 1 season (1961-62) and 1 season back in the AHL with Rochester Americans (1962-63).
