Northampton Hockey Club in 1897–98, members of the Baltimore Hockey League. Northampton HC finished second in the BHL in 1897–98 behind the University of Maryland team.
Roster: Harry Jenkins, goal; Walter McIlvaine Whitehurst, defense; Basil Wagner, defense & forward; Emory Kelley Rothstein, forward; Gresham Hough Poe, forward; George Bailey, forward; Robert Prill Hall, forward.
Forward Robert Prill "Bob" Hall played MLB baseball in 1904 and 1905 with Philadelphia Phillies, New York Giants and Brooklyn Superbas.
Gresham Poe later went to Princeton University where he played both ice hockey and football. He was a distant relative, second cousin twice removed, of famous poet and short story writer Edgar Allen Poe.
