Gertrude Hooper - Born 1904 in Boston, Massachusetts - Died October 8, 1995 in Norwell, Massachusetts.
Ms. Hooper served six years as president of the United States Field Hockey Association. She toured with the American field Hockey team to Copenhagen and the United Kingdom in 1933 and to Australia in 1938.
Later, she became a vice president of the International Federation of Women's Hockey Associations.
Ms. Hooper graduated from the Winsor School, which in 1994 selected her for its Simmons Award. She received degrees from Vassar College and, in 1939, Simmons College School of Social Work.
