Monday January 2, 2012 was Ice Hockey Heaven Monday.

Every Major League around the world had important games being played, with the most watched game being the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic in Philadelphia. This event just gets better and better each year. The NHL is doing a incredible production each time this event is put on, and it can only improve each year.

The World Junior Championships put on by the IIHF, also saw another classic day in International play as Finland scored a victory over Slovakia, while a real thriller, and goal tender classic saw Russia defeat Czech Republic in OT.

Other Leagues saw Shoot Out Wins or Overtime Victories, along with some good old thumping's too.        Some of the Most Important Games were played on Lakes, Ponds or Back Yard Rinks by Children with no school because of New Years Day. These kids are the Games Future.
