One of many pucks over the years that have come out of Long Pond, this one was unearthed this September..
As you can see initials are carved into this one as all others I have found.. Some have their names fully carved into the pucks, making it easy to trace in the census etc.. A few I already have traced well back into the 1800's.... This one in the picture is a real dandy, weighing over 7.1 ounces..with pieces missing..In very safe keeping and in the process of carbon dating..The evolution of Hurley/Hockey was well under way in Eastern Canada by the Boy's a Canadas first chartered University King's College in Windsor, NS by Long Pond..
