The Crusaders played a 78 game regular WHA season, winning 43, losing 32 with 3 ties and finished 2nd in WHA Eastern Division.

Gerry Cheevers led the WHA with 32 wins and a GAA 2.84

The Crusaders defeated Philadelphia in 1st round WHA playoffs, then lost to New England in semifinals.
