George Richardson Cottrelle - Born March 2, 1879 in Esquesing Township, Halton County, Ontario - Died January 1, 1953 in Toronto, Ontario was a Canadian Banker and president of Toronto Maple Leafs.
Cottrelle served on the board of Maple Leaf Gardens, and helped to finance the building.
His name is inscribed on the Stanley Cup with the Toronto Maple Leafs for their championship in 1942.
*Still the only team to come back from a three-game 0-3 deficit in the Stanley Cup final to win the championship.
Cottrelle was awarded the Order of the British Empire for his service to Canada, as he was appointed Oil Controller for Canada during World War II.
