Linseman scored the Stanley Cup winning goal on Billy Smith of the New York Islanders at :38 second mark of the 2nd period, a power play goal in a 5-2 Edmonton win and 4-1 series championship at Northlands Coliseum.

Ken Linseman was inducted into Kingston & District Sports Hall of Fame in 2005
