Calgary defeated Regina Capitals in a 2 game total goals, tying game one 2-2 in Regina, then winning game two 2-0 and the WCHL Cup championship on March 7, 1924 in Calgary.
Calgary then played a 3 game series vs Vancouver Maroons to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals. Calgary lost game one on March 10 in Vancouver 3-1, then had a 6-3 win in Calgary on March 12, and the 3rd game was played in Winnipeg on March 15, with Calgary winning 3-1.
Calgary then travelled to Quebec to play the Montreal Canadiens in a best of 3 series for the Stanley Cup, losing game one in Montreal 6-1 and then on March 25, with the game played in Ottawa, Montreal won 3-0.
NOTE
Foley Martin, pictured here under the trophy, died in Seattle, Washington on December 9, 1923 during the team's season opening road trip to the pacific coast. He apparently died of of pneumonia and blood poisoning after cutting a corn with a razor blade.
