Slapshot, the Philadelphia Flyers mascot was debuted on October 24, 1976 in a game vs Colorado Rockies at The Spectrum and was used for the 1976-77 NHL season, and never seen again.

Dennis Boyle, age 24 was the person inside the Slapshot mascot costume, and was paid $25 for each appearance.
