EditAs you might know the legendary Hespeler Hockey stick factory, known through a variety of names over the last century is closing in Hespeler. Thus ending the title the world's oldest continuing operating hockey stick factory. This iconic photo of a Hespeler Minor Hockey team getting a tour of the plant. This photo is especially interesting as this floor of sticks was wiped out and the majority of the sticks disappeared.. All these sticks are the ones kept by the factory to recreate the curve, etc, when a player ordered a new one again. There are NHL players names on sticks you will see when you zoom in on photo. A small portion of the sticks ended up in Lens Mills store in town.

I see a Nikolai Khabibulin goalie stick there, and he won the 2004 Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay.
The Hockey stick factory in Hespeler, made sticks for many brands such as Bauer, CCM, Christian, Sherwood, Vaughan, Warrior, Brian's etc.
Nice to know the Hespeler factory is staying in Canada, and not that far from Hespler, producing sticks under the Heritage Hockey Stick brand, and that Canadian Tire is selling their products across Canada.
Hespeler Wood Specialty began manufacturing Hockey sticks in 1922, so almost a 100 years.
